    3. I don't know why it's a female name, but it's the name of one of the Old Testament prophets, sometimes spelled Hosea. I remember him because when we were studying him in my Catholic school, if anyone mentioned Osea the prophet, someone else would jump up and say "Where? I don't see one." 3. Dear List, I am looking for someone who lives in Warren County who might have access to the old issues of the newspapers (probably on microfilm at your public library). I am looking for an obit for Ellen/Eleanor HUFF who died Feb 16, 1890 in Johnsonburg. Her maiden name was HOOVER. I have dead ended on her. Her death certificate was practically useless only indicating that her parents were Jacob and Elmira both born in United States. (Isn't this fun?) I believe at the time of her death she was living with son George HUFF. Thanks to anyone who is willing to help me out. I live in Florida Nancy Pascal You can visit my Sussex Co. 3. I wonder if anyone can help find info from HISTORY of SUSSEX & WARREN CO's, that was compiled by James P. Snell in 1881? I have a copy of the Warren County portion that was reprinted in 1981, but need some info from the general pages for both parts. This is included in Chapter IV, beginning on page 24, and Chapter V, beginning on page 28. I'm interested in some early settlers who came down from the Kingston area and up from Raritan. John
