    2. In a message dated 10/1/2001 12:06:19 AM Eastern Daylight Time, [email protected] writes: > Roll Call--Frank Slocum, Crawfordsville, IN, researching Gibson and Cole in > the Washington area 1798 to current. Frank Slocum [email protected] > > > > Frank, Cole is not one of my family lines, but have a few Cole's. Johnne Cole b. abt 1864, married Andrew Beam. One child I know of, John Robertson Beam. Mary Cole, who married Joshua Hopkins. No dates for them, or their child, Joshua. I have more on the Gibson family to offer. John Gibson b 1795, married Sarah Cowdrick. They had one son named John Gibson, b. 1820 who married Rachal ? b. 1830. They had children, Jenning Gibson b. 1849, William W. b. 1852, Alfred b. 1855, Adison, b. 1860. I don't have anything on these children, or Rachal. It looks like they divorced, as Sarah Cowdrick married her second husband, David R. Hamblin, my fifth Great Grandfather. When John and Sarah divorced, she must have taken son John with her, as his name was now John Gibson Hamblin. In 1870 he showed up living in Kansas with his step brothers, the Hamblin's. I have more on the Hamblins, if your interested. I believe John Gibson Sr b. 1795 was married twice also. His second wife was also named Sarah, she was also born in 1800. Their children were, Charles b. 1828, Johnson b. 1835, Jane b. 1838, James b. 1842, Emma b. 1844, Henry b. 1847. I have nothing further on his children by this marriage, or his second wife Sarah. All the above people were from Washington Twp. Note's: There is a John Gibson married to Sarah in the 1850 census for Washington Twp. NJ. 199/203. John Gibson 55, Sarah 50, Charles 22, Johnson 15, Jame 12, Emma 6, James 8, and Henry 3. John is a farmer and worth $5,000. Next door to them in the same census is, Sarah Gibson 78, his mother? Also a Nelly Rhone 100, who is black, a slave? I would appreciate any thing you might have to offer on these family's. Thanks. Walt Disbrow

    1. [NJWARREN] Rollcall:Wier & Barber
    2. Greetings, I'm looking for information on the Wier/Weyer/Wire, etc family of Warren and Morris Counties. My William Wier (c1800-1845) is believed to have operated a store in Allamuchy TWP. His parents MAY have been William and Elizabeth Barber Wier who lived in the Hackettstown area in the 1830s. I also believe the family is related to the Wier, etc family of Mt Olive/Roxbury/Washington TWPs in Morris County. Also looking for ANY information on Mathias Barber (c1725-c1764) of Hardwick TWP and his wife Jane Foster. Thanks, Rick Novak
