Hi......I lived in Plfd from 1943-1970....my family came there in 1860s and stayed until 1970s....The Oxford was torn down in late 60s, the Babcott burnt down in early 70s but the Liberty is still sanding but vacant for abt 25 yrs. The two Strand theaters are gone also. The beautiful library was torn down and replaced with a non descript box. My family were on the Police Dept. My grand father and great uncle were chief of police from late 1920s to 1938. My father was a detective from 1927 to 1956. John J. Flynn
