Hello All: I am still trying to find some info on the National Bank of Elizabeth bank scandal in 1873/1874. I am pretty sure that one of my ancestors, who was a bank cashier, went to jail because of the problems in this bank. I have him in the census as being in Trenton State Prison and his occupation is bank cashier. His name was Daniel Leeds. I am sure that this would have been a "big deal" during that time and in the newspapers but I am not sure of the month/year that this happened so I do not know which copies/films of the newspaper to order. If someone could point me in the right direction to find any info I would be very grateful. Thank you - Ahlive
