Hi, I'm new to the list. My ggreat grandfather was John Marsh Williams, born in NJ. In 1836, he married Catharine Lane in Butler County, Ohio. They had the following children: Mary Eliza Williams, HenriettaWilliams, Emma Hetfield Williams and Francis Jane Williams. Catharine and Emma died in 1848. John remarried Harriet Noble in 1849 in Hamilton County, Ohio, although he resided in Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa. They had the following children: Clara Belle Williams, Benjamin Franklin Williams, Ella Amelia Williams (married name Bergstrom), and Edward Noble H. Williams (my line). They moved to California in 1875. I believe that John Marsh Williams parents were Abraham and Elizabeth Williams. LDS's file shows a christening for a John Marsh Williams on Dec. 6, 1812, with those parents in the Presbyterian Church, Westfield, Union, New Jersey. A biography of Edward Noble Williams says that his father, John Marsh Williams, was born in New Jersey. If there are any connections please let me know. Michelle
