Hello John Flynn, This is all very interesting. My Gram mentioned the name, Whelan, but I always thought it was my great grandfather's mother. My great grandfather was born in Syracuse, NY in 1868. He married Adeline Florence Dennick Howarth at CHURCH OF THE HEAVENLY REST, Park Ave. Plainfield (I have been trying to find out what denomination, but have had no luck) in 1891. My ggrandfather, James Timothy Egan died in 1905 of pneumonia and is buried at St. Mary's Plainfield. Do you know who the father of Joseph Egan who married Mary Teresa Monahan was?
