    3. Hi Lois, Where are you located? I've personally researched the Newark Evening News and Star Ledger at the Alexander Library in East Brunswick, NJ. They are on campus at Rutgers University. They seemed to have every year that I've needed in the 30s and 40s. They have almost all NJ/NY newspapers on film, plus many others from around the country. They don't do lookups so you would have to go there yourself. I was there in December before Christmas. Very nice facility. Hope this helps.
