I am going to be in the Elizabeth area in the next few weeks and hope to do some research as well as visit some of the places where my Bunnell/Bonnell, Hendrick, Clarke and Jones ancestors lived. I am particularly interested in the Bonnell House at 1045 E. Jersey St. and the Elizabeth Heritage Society at 500 N. Broad St. in Elizabeth, the Bonnell House at 32 Wachtung St. and the Historical Society of Chatham Twp. at 22 Paper Mill Rd. in Chatham, and the New Providence Historical Society at 1350 Springfield Ave in New Providence. Does anyone know the hours that these places are open to the public? Also does anyone who is familiar with the area have any suggestion about where I could best spent my limited time on research - which of the various libraries or societies would be most fruitful. I have never been in that area before and want to make the best use of my time. Specifically I am descended from Nathaniel Bonnell (ca 1640-1711), Jabez Hendrick (1651-1694), Jeffrey Jones (ca 1643-ca 1717), Richard Clarke (ca 1662-ca 1742), and Isaac Whitehead (1624-1660). All of these persons lived in Elizabeth and were members of the Elizabeth-Town Associates. I will appreciate any suggestions. Jim Barbee Reynoldsburg OH
