Sometimes "Serendipity" brings us a real blessing! Eighty-four year old (but "not yet quite senior") Jeanne Summerton Spangler, whose parents and grandparents were Superintendents & Matrons of the Elizabeth Almshouse [in Union County]until 1960, recently wrote to us. She and her siblings grew up in that poorhouse. She wrote us to provide some historical notes about that poorhouse ... which we have just posted on the NEW JERSEY page on our website.
