I am looking for my gggrandfather in the 1860 census. His name was Ludwig Nees and he came from Baden, Germany (not sure when). My ggrandfather was John L Nees born in 1854 in NJ. I searched the 1860 census on Ancestry and went through each ED to no avail. Does anyone have access to an index or a directory for a look-up for Ludwig Nees. I am not positive that they lived in Union County but they lived there for most of their lives. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Dian in Florida
