Seeking proof of Jonathan(Johnathan) Thompson's (1734-1817 )ancestors. He m. Abigail Haines abt 1753 (First Church of Morristown, NJ records) . Jeremiah Jaggers (1750-1826) and his wife Esther Terrel (1753-1818) are also without parents! He (supposedly) from Long Island, but both died at Ct. Farms, NJ. Their daughter Charity (1780-1859) m. William Thompson (1782-1865) Both died in Jersey, Ohio. William a grandson of the above mentioned Jonathan by his son Benjamin. Is Elizabethtown NJ in Union Co.? If so, family history has it that the Thomas Thompson who settled there with sons Moses, Hur, and Aaron is the greatgrandfather of Jonathan through Aaron, Sr, and Aaron Jr. but no proof.
