Jim, I am a descendent of the Fitz Randolph family and have the family genealogy (all branches) plus the Supplement to the Fitz Randolph genealogy, so I looked for you and it states Samuel Fitz Randolph b 1688 at Barnstable, Mass to Nathaniel Fitz Randolph and First wife Mary Holley, married Mary Jones on June 8,1693. Mary was born in Elizabethtown, NJ, daughter of Jeffery Jones. The woman's name you mention is one that I have run across. I have most of the Fitz Randolph headstones on my web site so I will check.

Thanks for the offer to check. I have the same published works you mention; I have also checked the files of O.D. Drake in Special Collections at Rutgers -- particularly Drake's article on the Jones' family, and he does not give any name to Jeffery's wife. I am also Fitz Randolph descendant, but not of Jones.
