Tony, I think I can answer this. I was born in Summit in Overlook Hospital. When I applied for a driver's license I went to the Summit Board of Health to get a raised seal birth certificate which was given to me after an hour wait. All it stated was my name, birthdate and place of birth, on official paper with a very beautiful gold raised seal. It met the requirements for my driver's license application. Of course I know who my parents are. You can get a birth certificate with all the information on it from the NJ Dept of Health in Trenton and you are applying for yourself or a deceased parent. You have to have the exact day of birth now, and not just the year. Perhaps Summit has that information also and you have to be more specific with your request. There must be a story behind that unfortunate omission?
