Their children included Harvey W. who married Margaret Haines, Rellie (aka Irene), Edith who married Marcus Dussler, Arthur, Claude who married Myrtle Heller, Mae, Minnie Ellen, Meta, John Chester, George W. and Harry. Would appreciate any information on these people, and/or their descendents. Peggy Tyrrell

    3. Many, many thanks to all of you who took the time to answer my question about the Evergreen Cemetary location. I appreciate the directions, pictures, suggestion of software for cemetaries, and personal experiences in visiting the one in Hillside. I believe that the Hillside one is where my gr-grandparents are buried. There may be other family members buried there. with the information you all provided, I will write the cemetary. Thanks again. 3. Peggy- In regards to your query. There is an Evergreen Cemetery located just west of the Newark Airport in an area bounded by these major roads: Frelinghuysen, North Broad and Rt 22. There are two other cemeteries shown to be adjacent to it and may be part of them. One of these is Oneb Sholen and I can't read the name of the other. I suggest buying a copy of "Travel Maps USA" under the Cosmi or Swift name for about $10. It is great for locating cemeteries and other items of genealogical interest across the country. I have found relatively obscure cemeteries in rural Arkansas and Indiana on this software program. Cosmi has two products along this line be sure to get "Travel Maps USA." 3. Peggy and List, Please don't forget the Evergreen Cemetery in Plainfield, NJ. It is located on Plainfield Avenue between 4th & 5th Streets and in quite a state of disrepair. It is owned by 2 Churches in Plainfield: First Park Baptist Church 315 W. 7th Street Plainfield, NJ 07060 and Convent United Methodist church 631 E. Front Street Plainfield, NJ 07060 First Park Baptist is wonderful about responding to letters but, unfortunately, the United Methodist Church is not. I have written them twice in the last 2 years, even sending a donation for the cemetery fund, and they have never responded. This is most disappointing to me as, not only am I United Methodist, my mother was a member of this church. Good luck, Peggy. If you find a relative in this Evergreen Cemetery, let me know. I am going there in May and could try to find your relative's grave and take a picture. Arlene Dunkum Peggy wrote: > Please provide location for Evergreen Cemetary. 2. Peggy and Others: If you are going to the Evergreen Cemetery in Hillside, expect a pleasant experience. I was there just 2-3 weeks ago and although I arrived only 15-20 minutes before closing time of the office, the workers there were most helpful. The grounds seem to be well-kept and all-in-all, it was a good time. Good luck in your researching!! Lois

    2. Do we have any records online of the Catholic Cemeteries in Plainfield NJ area? If not, is this something that might be added in the future? Also, Does each church have one or is there just one main Catholic Cemetery? I would also like to add that I think we should be more tolerant of errors that people make in Spelling. This is probably due to the fact that everyone is not a typist and also could be elderly or just plain tired from a Hard Day at the Office. We are not here to point out or embarass them, But to help each other and I hope being kind to one another.

    2. Peggy, I looked for the cemetery..only found one in Hillside, which is not that far from Elizabeth. The other one I found is in Morristown which is a distance. There were not too many cemeteries right in Elizabeth for the size of the town, so it is a good guess to look at the one on North Broad St. in Hillside. My Grandparents had to find a catholic graveyard in Newark(on the border).. I would almost guarantee yours is in Hillside. Grace
