Hello Looking for info on Peter Couse, died in Deckertown, NJ abt 7/1/1887, he was 60. Spent most of his life in Fredericksburg, VA - came from PA in 1840s & was preparing to return there when he was arrested (5/1862), by the Confederacy. Was planning to join or had already joined the Union. He was used in hostage negotiations for some Fredericksburg civilians that were being held in the Old Capitol Prison, in DC. Does anyone have any additional info on him? Thanks in advance Patti
