    2. "Death of Rev. A. M. Harris. Rev. Abram M. Harris, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Port Morris died there Tuesday, January 19, aged 69 years. He had been a member of the Newark Conference for many years, having entered the ministry in 1866, his first appointment being at Stockholm, and he had served other pastorates in this county. He was closing his fourth year at Port Morris. Mr. Harris had been continuously in ministerial work since his first pastorate, excepting during the Civil War, when he was at the front serving his country. Besides his widow, he is survived by one daughter and one brother. His remains were interred in the cemetery at Rockaway." NOTE: His wife was Sarah E. GARDNER (1846-1931), daughter of Charles R. GARDNER and Harriet CRABTREE. Mona, Richmond, IN
