An ancestor of mine, Abraham Harris was a Methodist Clergyman in Asbury, Warren Co., NJ, 1880 census. He was married to Sarah Gardner possibly of Sussex Co. (Sarah was daughter of Harriet CRABTREE of Sussex County and Charles GARDNER.) In the 1900 census, Abraham HARRIS is listed as "clergyman" in New Providence, Union Co., NJ. He died before 1910. What Methodist Church might have been active in New Providence in 1900? Is it still active? Address? Abraham may have died here and buried in New Providence? Abraham's widow, Sarah is listed in 1910 and 1920 censuses, residing in Dover, Morris Co., NJ. They had one daughter, Harriet ("Hattie") who married a HUNTER and they were divorced after the birth of three children. If anyone has any information about Abraham and his work, or his family, etc., I would appreciate it. TIA Mona, Richmond, IN
