I am seeking information about Philip "Tip" Grover/Groover who was a Civil War veteran and later in life married a young women who was born in 1870, Carrie (Phoebe) Ackerman. They lived in Sussex County. I can't seem to find them in the 1890's-1910's Census records though I know they were married and having children then. I do know that Carrie was the daughter of John J. and Julia Ackerman who lived in Sussex County. She had three sisters named Ida V. (Ackerman) Hamler, Emma (Ackerman) Hamler (the two sisters were married to two Hamler brothers; after Emma's husband Vandevere Hamler died, she married Harry Babcock); Rachel Ackerman; and Manerva Ackerman, one of whom married a "Berry" surname. The two Hamlers who married the Ackerman sisters were sons of David and Amy (Drake) Hamler; David was b. in 1809 and Amy was born in 1822. I believe that Phillip "Tip" Grover/Groover was well known in the Sussex County community. Who were his parents? And who was his first wife and family? Thanks for any information!
