    3. Surnames of the families I am actively researching in the Sussex, NJ area are John and Abigail Mott Space and their descendants. John Space was born about 1757 in Germany and immigrated to the Germantown, NJ area with his older brother Peter. John enlisted as a private with the New Jersey Line and later immigrated to the Luzerne County, PA area with his family while Peter Space remained in the Sussex, NJ area. While I am not a descendant of Peter Space I am always interested in corresponding with family historians researching this Space family line. John Space married Abigail MOTT in Sussex, NJ on 7 March 1780. John Space died 16 Sept 1813 in Luzerne County, PA. Abigail Mott Space is believed to have died about 1839 in Luzerne County, PA. Children of John and Abigail Mott Space were: Abigail Space who married \\ SHAY Nancy Space who married \\ DALEY/DALY Elsie Space who married Daniel HOOVER John Space Jr. who married Elizabeth BISSARD Margaret Space who married Philip JACKSON Zephaniah Space who married Catherine ARMSTRONG Elizabeth Space who married Derrick BIRD Sally Space who married Ansel MASCHO James R. Space who married Mahalia PIATT My line descends from Zephaniah and Catherine Hart ARMSTRONG SPACE. I am very interested in any information on the family of Abigail MOTT. From other on-line genealogy postings I have found references to her parents as Asher/Asker Mott and Deborah Tallman but have not been able to contact any of the researchers who have posted this information and have been unable to document Abigail as their child. Looking forward to hearing from other family historians researching any of these lines. Cindy in WI
