Surnames of the families I am actively researching in the Sussex, NJ area are John and Abigail Mott Space and their descendants. John Space was born about 1757 in Germany and immigrated to the Germantown, NJ area with his older brother Peter. John enlisted as a private with the New Jersey Line and later immigrated to the Luzerne County, PA area with his family while Peter Space remained in the Sussex, NJ area. While I am not a descendant of Peter Space I am always interested in corresponding with family historians researching this Space family line. John Space married Abigail MOTT in Sussex, NJ on 7 March 1780. John Space died 16 Sept 1813 in Luzerne County, PA. Abigail Mott Space is believed to have died about 1839 in Luzerne County, PA.
