Fran- If it is Newtown,LI, which is now near La Guardia Airport, and he went to western NJ, then he may have been in some company, perhaps with Updikes who went to Cherry Hill or with Brokaws who went to farms along the Raritan River or with Larison/Larrison . They all came from Newtown to Hunterdon.Probably other families were going to western NJ about 1700??
