Series M805, roll 565, file R6642, 7 pages On an inquiry letter sent by Mr. Franklyn HOGEBOOM of the S.A.R. in 1937, Mr. Hogeboom is looking for a McCONNELL, John born 8 Aug 1750 Lubber's Run, Cranberry Lake, Sussex Co., NJ, married Elizabeth HOPKINS on 20 Dec 1774. She died 14 Apr 1838. He served in Rev. War from PA or NJ. Soldier died 7 Apr 1834. The record found in the pension file states a John McCoNNELL born in August in 1750 in Lubber's Run, name of parents and wife not given. He applied for a pension on 7 May 1833 as a resident of Starkey, Yates Co., NY. He claims service under Captain George HALL in NJ Troops as well as Captain BUTTOLPH against Indians on the Delaware. His wife is not mentioned in the claim but a daughter named Catherine who in 1852 was the wif of David B. BATHOLOMEW of Dundee, Yates Co., NY. ---------- Series M805, roll 565, file S42955, 7 pages McCONNEL, Hugh - made application for pension 29 Apr 1818 as a resident of Minisink, Orange Co., NY aged 53 years. He enlisted at Goshen, NY in Captain Cornelius JOHNSON's company, Col. GANSEVORT's Regiment of the 3rd NY Regiment on about 10 May 1778 until discharged 8 June 1783 as a fifer.
