This is the family of My 3rd Great Grandmother on my father's side. Anyway Isiah Bennett and Abigail Smith were my 4th great Grandparents. Do you have any indication this "Bennett" name might ever have been "Burnett"? I have in one history that in 1660 three Burnet brothers came from Wales to the Colonies. One of the brothers settled in NJ. Out of this line was an Edmund Burnet b. 01/01/1755 in NJ. He married Sarah Smith in 1780. It goes on to say their third child, a male, Serenus Burnet, was born in Trumbull Co., OH 11/13/1787. S.
