    3. Ann, The Find-A-Grave site is good. You can do a search for a name or get a list of cemeteries by county. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gs& Mary ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ann Brown" <cookiebrown11@gmail.com> To: <nj@rootsweb.com>; <njmorris@rootsweb.com>; <njsussex@rootsweb.com>; <njwarren@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 24, 2007 7:13 PM Subject: [NJSUSSEX] A listing of all cemetries in NJ > Does anyone know it there is a listing of all the cemeteries by county > anywhere? > > -- > Ann Brown " Cookie" > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > NJSUSSEX-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >

    3. Hi, the first place to look is at www.findagrave.com . However, some of the old small cems are not listed. Sussex County is. There is no mail address listed, and many do not have a map. The next place is the county or local Historical Soc or Gen Soc. There is a book of cem address, that has most cems listed, if your local library has it. There is also a web site that lists the address, I found by accident when looking for an old "Hillside Cem" in Sullivan Cty NY. It was not listed on the site. I think I started with www.interment.net . 3. Karen, Thanks for the info. I have searched all the sites for cemeteries I can find on line. Once 2 years ago I lucked into a site that listed all the cemeteries of Warren County and their addresses. I was hoping to find the same for Sussex and or Morris but no luck. With the names I could then request a look up from the local libraries or even see if LDS has them listed. Perhaps someone has documented most of them somewhere and it is in a little pamphlet in a local library or HS some where. I have checked the local HS also. My next thought was perhaps NJSA or the NJHS or even NJGS. Somewhere it must be, but where, is the question. David the list manager of NJ list had posted 4 good cemetery websites and thoes you mentioned were among them. Where is Sullivan city, NY. I was looking for someone from Seven Mile River in Sullivan County, NY. Haven't started That branch yet. Thanks for caring enough to take the time to answer my quest. ann On 2/26/07, karen wreden <kmwgen@earthlink.net> wrote: > > Hi, > the first place to look is at www.findagrave.com . 3. Between Jan http://raub-and-more.com/resources.html & I http://www.sussexcountyhistory.org/pascal/cemidx.html and "Find A Grave" www.findagrave.com I think most of the cemeteries are transcribed for Sussex & Warren Counties. I just added Mount Salem and the should have "Old Newton Burial Ground" up this week.
