Pat, The map was in a folder with copies of other maps that was in a local library. There's no mention of where it came from and it doesn't give any year so it's as much a mystery to me as to you. Someone else on the list suggested c1840 based on the towns listed. I see the Delaware River clearly marked on it. Do you happen to know where might the Raritan River might be located relative to the Delaware. In the John READING family history on the Internet, it references that John READING, John MILLS, and other men were sent out to do a survey in 1703, of 150,000 acres. I am curious who was this John MILLS and what was his relationship to John READING, Sr., and John READING, Governor of New Jersey.
