    3. All, Recently came across an interesting email in NJSussex archives on Rootsweb from 03-25-1999 and follow ups. Many of the older Dutch surnames mentioned, including those above - worth reading, some travel information and some info on Indian wars and boy taken by Indians. In the course of it, there was mention of a couple of other Blandinas than the one I am searching, but clearing this researcher indicated the nickname used was "Dinah," FYI. Pasting just a bit of the archived message here: > Blandina (Dinah) Van Etten was the daughter of Anthony Van Etten and > Annatje Decker; baptized Bef. September 04, 1763. All relationships of her > family are confirmed by sworn depositions of her siblings and friends, all > of which are a part of Blandina [Dinah] Westfall's file for widows pension > of Revolutionary War soldiers. [National Archives, Washington, DC.] > > Blandina[Dinah] Westfall traveled from Carroll County, Ohio to Cyuga Co., > NY and from there to Minisink, Orange Co., NY to personally get these > depositions. This travel route is detailed in the deposition of ----- > Cook, Dinah's acting attorney, who accompanied her on the trip, along with > her son, Levy Westfall. END S.
