    3. Tom, Thank you for your info. I have collected a lot of info on Sickels/Sickles family looking for info on George Sickels(b. about 1854)/Anna Marie Kishpaugh. This George died before 1882, Anna remarried. I found everything but that family. He is in the Jacob Sickels line. Have you gotten behind George (1791-1877)? We are trying to connect the Sickels/Sickles families of the Byram area. I have never found a transcription list for Sparta Methodist Cemetery. One was made for Sparta Presbyterian around 1930s. One would think a list would have been made for the Sparta Methodist at the same time? The Methodist Cemetery is located behind the old Church (new one built down the road). The oldest gravestones are on the hill behind the old Church. The Sparta Presbyterian Cem. is shaped like an "L" . The short part (oldest) being behind the Presb. Church, the long part (newer) extending toward the Methodist Cemetery and old Church (and connect by road). It is often just called "Sparta Cemetery" . However, If one is looking for records or old gravestones, it helps to know where to start looking. For anyone looking for "GOBLE" there are many in Sparta Methodist Cem. (on hill). Phebe DECKER - Since the funeral service was by Rev. of Methodist church, if she has a gravestone, it should be on the hill behind old Methodist Church. Coleman BABCOCK changed his name to "Babb" in the 1870 census, and back to "Babcock" in the 1880 census. Several "Babcock" changed to "Babb" . I have the parents of Coleman as Joseph Babcock Sr and Elizabeth DECKER. Married Sep 8, 1860 NJ Archives Bk AF - page 464. Does this agree with your info? Thanks for the info on JOHN SICKELS, with death cert. info of parents, George and Anna/Hannah. The William J. and George (1791-1877) gravestone is a large one on E. side of cem. ; D. Stewart, etc, and John & Elizabeth are nearly a direct line W. from that one. Manning and the Delany stone further W. under large tree. Kirsten posted a death cert. for a Elizabeth McKINNEY and the father is listed as George "Sickles" no mother listed; Burial at Andover Cem. This is at Nancy Pacal site at www.sussexcountyhistory.org . The dates and place (near Byram Twp) fit in with Geroge & Anna/Hannah & may be another child. Kirsten has a copy of the death cert. to verify info. Elizabeth died Jan 2, 1899, age 73.3.7; makes birth about Sep 26, 1825. Karen, NJ
