There doesn't seem to be anything there but documents, which can only be viewed if you join. If you click cancel on downloading the net passport, it takes you back to the groups home page for all groups. Why not put this information someplace easily accessible? Why not the Sussex County page on Rootsweb? I admit I'm very spoiled because my ancestors glued themselves to Shelby County, Indiana in 1820, and most of the family is still there. The Shelby County site on Rootsweb is phenomenal. Long before they got that far I had Wortman/Workman/Woertman ancestors in NJ. However, I can't connect the direct line at the top of which is William Wortman, born in NJ, to any other Wortmans in the state. He was born June 26, 1747 possibly in Somerset County. At one time I found something indicating there were Wortmans in Sussex. If anyone knows of a connection I would very much appreciate hearing from you. My brickwall Petty family falls precisely in the time range of what was described in the Along the Delaware in both location ahd years of records. It sounded like a ray of hope and then the problems trying to access it began. So, if some of us find answers to our problems in these old records you will be one popular gal. Thanks for pursuing the problem. We appreciate your efforts. If I find a missing PETTY you'll hear me from Houston wherever you are.
