The dates are not at all sequential, so I can't answer that. They jump around. I'm guessing it's like the old marriage records--the local clerk kept the records, and when the spirit moved him, he sent them to the county, state, etc. The first entry in Book A-E is 1785; The first entry in Book F is 1793; Book G - 1802; H also begins with 1802; Book I - 1800 (see what I mean?); Book K - 1803. Just a note - the same thing happened in Orange County, NY. It wasn't the County Clerk, it was the people. I have found deeds that were originally conveyed in the 1780's, but not recorded until 1820's etc. Also people were not required to record their deeds to be legal.
