    3. Cathy and all, I was at the state archives once and overhead a conversation between a researcher and an archives employee about early land deeds. The researcher was asking about still other types of land records. I remember hearing that there were some other land records. It has been a long time since I heard all this, but the phrase "colonial conveyances" comes to mind and may be the right term for certain other land records. If anybody else finds out more about types of land records for New Jersey, I would be interested in hearing about them, too.
