SMITH, resident of Flatbrookville, NJ, died of Heart trouble at the American House in Stroudsburg, PA on Thurs. July 13, 1911, aged 79 years, 7 months and 4 day. Son of Jonas and Sarah S. (DECKER) SMITH of Walpack. When a young man, he was employed by a merchant, Jonas K. SMITH in Flatbrookville then took up teaching after the war. In 1865 he sold his mercantile business to his brother Samuel D. SMITH. He became member of Dutch Reformed Church at Flatbrookville in 1862, elected deacon in 1880. Lived with brother Frank at homestead in Flatbrookville. Survived by one brother Frank SMITH of Flatbrookville, two nephews, Milton SMITH of Denver, CO and John S. BUNNELL of Ontario, Cal. and seven nieces, Mrs. Linus CLARK of Branchville; Mrs Elmer G. DECKER of Newton; Mrs. Will PIERSON of Newark, NY, Mrs William PINCKNEY of Ontario, Cal.; Mrs. Henry S.
