Cathy, I haven't lived in Hackettstown in years, but believe there have been one or two books written about the case. She was strangled at or by the college. If anyone is interested in her I will see if I have any info on the case. Also, Cathy, if you are reading those microfilms and come across either a Beaty/Beatty, Thomas or Lomerson freezing to death along the railroad tracks between Stanhope and Hackettstown, I would be interested. In fact, anyone who froze to death along those tracks. He supposedly froze during a blizzard. This is a story that came down thru the family, but I haven't proven it yet.
