There is a 3 roll microfilm index of the East Jersey deeds. The Dallas, TX Public Library has the microfilm. I do not know what other library has the microfilm. I have done a lot of research on land records in morris, essex, bergen and passaic deeds 1785+ and did not find this index to be helpful for my families to trace -1785. The best info I have found -1785 is when property is sold+1785 and it describes the earlier transaction before -1785.
