Hi Vera! Brookville is in Ocean Co, NJ. Could she have gone to southern to NJ to visit a relative or a friend, maybe just taking a trip for pleasure. I have been wondering if you know anything about Jacob Reeder. I find Jacob in the Rev War and also in the Newton Tax Ratable Lists. Do you know if Jacob is James Reeder's father? Maybe Mary Catherine named David after Jacob if he should be her grandfather. That would explain the Jacob in David's name.
