The death certificate for Mahlon K. Slaght states he died in Easton, Pa January15, 1916 and that he was buried in Newton, NJ January 18. I have notes (taken years ago before I had learned my lesson about citing sources, etc.) that read: Doc # 12115 Newton Cemetery Company to Mahlon K. Slaght and George E. Slaght "On Linden walk joining lot of Eliz. Haggerty on S. 12 feet front, 24 feet deed - 288 sq ft" I have this reference "Book L 11 or perhaps Book L II, page 379 Deeds Further, I have written 3/27/1916 1:36 PM. But no clue as to what that meant (too soon old - too late smart). I have visited the cemetery and found the Slaght plot. George (son of Mahlon) is buried there as are several other of the family. The gentleman in charge of the cemetery looked through his books but could find no reference to the burial of Mahlon K. Dr. Lawrence Slaght's book "Cornelius Baraentse Slecht and some of his Descendants" has a mere mention of Mahlon K. on page 74 (#986). I have considerable information on Mahlon's descendants and will be glad to share. Can anyone point me in the right direction for solving this dilemma? Floreda
