    1. [NJSUSSEX-L] KITCHENs in Sussex Co.
    2. There was another Kitchen mentioned in Owen's book Pioneers of Long Point Settlement and that was the story of Joseph Kitchen, a Loyalist born in Newton, Sussex County. The chapter is titled: Walked 500 Miles to Tell his Friend He Was Converted - Deacon Kitchen. According to the book (based on lots of oral histories, bible records, and whether you paid, in advance, to purchase the book from Owen in 1898) Deacon Joseph Kitchen married Miriam Barber in 1809. They had 12 children: John, Egbert M, Charity, Jane, Mary Ann, Ruth, Cynthia, Martha, Hannah and three who died "in childhood." If anyone needs more information, please e-mail me and I'm happy to provide it. Kitchen lived in Charlotteville, Norfolk County, Ontario. Ann
