Hi, folks... I've added another page to my web site. In 1804, under pressure mostly from Quakers, New Jersey began to gradually abolish slavery. Any child born to a slave in the state was to be registered, and at the age of 21 (females) or 25 (males), the child was to be freed. A listing of slaves born and registered, and their owners, in Sussex and Warren Counties from 1804 to 1833 can be found at http://RAUB-and-more.com/slavebirths.html Jan Reuther http://RAUB-and-more.com
