As far as I know all of the Titsoort--Titworth families can be traced to Abraham Willemszen (aka Tietsoort) born in Amsterdam, m 27 Apr 1647, Aechtje Jans. He was a blacksmith, settled in Schenectady 1676, after the Indian massacre in 1689, moved to Minisink (Port Jervis), first settler. In Dutchess Co. N.Y. census 1714, where he died, will probated 1722, Albany. My line is son Stepanus, m Sara Hoornbeek, 4 children registered Kingston, N.Y. RDC, 2 listed Minisink-Machackemeck Church Records. Jackie
