Hello, My GGGG grandfather Paul DeGarmo was born July 1, 1737 (place unknown) and lived in Wantage Township, Sussex County, New Jersey in 1773 when he is found on the Tax Rateables list. He enlisted in the Revolutionary War on March 1st, 1776 in Sussex County, and was assigned to a unit called the Flying Camp. Subsequently he moved to Randolph County, VA and then on to Washington County, PA in the early 1800's. I'm trying to find any records that may exist on Paul DeGarmo while he was living in Sussex County, NJ. I came across a reference to the Elias Van Bunschooten Museum which is located in Wantage Township, NJ. Apparantely this museum is dedicated to a Dutch minister who started as many as three Dutch church's in Wantage Township. I believe that Paul DeGarmo was a member of a Dutch Church. Does anyone know if there might be any records going back to 1773 at the Elias Van Bunschooten Museum? If not I'm looking for assistance in locating records of my ancestor Paul DeGarmo. All help will be greatly appreciated. Bill DeGarmo
