Nathaniel Roe was the son of George Roe and Margaret Struble and he married 20 Jan 1821 Harriet Shepherd b. 25 July 1804 daughter of Nathan Shepherd and Temperance Ayers. Nathaniel d. 10 Apr 1875 Branchville, Sussex County and Harriet d. 6 June 1876. Nathan Shepard b. 16 Dec 1773 m. 3 Aug 1800 (Sussex County, New Jersey marriage record) Temperance Ayers and resided Frankford, Sussex County, New Jersey. They removed to Southport, Chemung County, New York and were enumerated there in the 1835 census. Removed to Wells township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Tempa d. before 1850. Nathan d. 26 Mar 1855 81y 3m 10d (ts) Coryland Cemetery, Wells Township. Besides the Shephard family, Nathaniel Roe had brothers James Madison and Timothy and a sister Elizabeth Marie Roe wife of William M. Cory remove to Wells and Columbia Townships in Bradford County. James and his wife returned to Branchville. I am descended from Elizabeth Maria Roe Cory. J.
