I've been told that the marriage record of John Courtright & Mary Clark indicates they were living in Hardwick Twp. now in present day Warren Co., NJ. thank you, Cindy Cindy Torres Owens cindyo@va.prestige.net http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/o/w/e/Cindy-L-Owens/index.html >> Cindy: Most of those old marriage records are on scraps of paper. Those scraps of paper have been trascribed into the printed sources you find today. It is also possible for the year you are interested in that the marriage entry was never recorded at the county level. You might have to locate a church record or some other source to locate the actual marriage record. You may also have to see if they might have gotten married in Morris County or some other county. I reviewed the following resource: Howard E. Case, SUSSEX COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, MARRIAGES. This book starts with marriages beginning 1795 through 1853 for Book A. I found no Cortwright-Clark marriage entries. There are several Cortwright and Clark marriages, but not one for the individuals you are hoping to find. Christie Trapp
