Northampton Co. PA land deed of 1791 gives property history including info that on 22 March 1760, Margaret Cortrecht, widow of William, petitions land be given to son John with considerations for other 5 children of William named as Hendrick, Elias, Josias, Susanna Cortrecht, and daughter Charity, then the wife of Giddeon Middaugh. John later deeds land to Abraham Cortrecht. (LDS Microfilm 0953686 Vol G1, p. 626.) William was born 1702 to Jan Hendricksen Cortright & his first wife Marytje Vreedenburg. I had no record of the son John who appears to be the oldest & of course would love to know what happened to him. This John is a first cousin to the John who married Susanna Kittel, so you see I have no shortage of Johns to consider! :>) Cindy
