Recent information indicates that my 3rd great grandfather Henry WALTER was from Newton Twp., Sussex Co. He was born in 1778 - ancestors are unknown. The earliest record I have is his marriage to Catherine GRACE / GRESS in Sussex Co. Aug. 13, 1808. He was in Hamilton Twp. Northampton Co. PA by 1811 where his third child, John Gress WALTER was baptized in the Union Church (Evangelical Lutheran & Reformed Congregation) Aug. 13, 1812. Birth date for John G. is 13 Nov. 1811 but birth location may have been other than Hamilton Twp. Has anyone ran across any records of Henry??? Any ideas on where to look for info prior to 1812? He and Catherine had Margaret, b. 1807 and Jacob W. b. 4 Jul. 1810 (location for both unknown). Ken Walter Pasco, WA
