Harriet (CRABTREE) GARDNER (d. 1906, Sussex Co., NJ) in the settlement of her estate, which took place several years later, her four children were mentioned. Harriet was the daughter of William CRABTREE and wife, Elizabeth McCONNELL. One of these children was Sorena GARDNER who married Nathan STACKHOUSE in the estate settlement of Harriet GARDNER. In researching Sussex Co. census records, I find a Nathan STACKHOUSE (b. about 1846) with a wife listed as Emily S. born about 1849. One census lists her name as Emily G. Could this be Emily Sorena GARDNER (married to Nathan STACKHOUSE)? I know of only two children: Harry STACKHOUSE (b. about 1887) and Frances C. STACKHOUSE, b. 1869. Does anyone have access to records that might give the parentage of Nathan STACKHOUSE? He and his family lived in Andover Twp. in Sussex Co.
