I was just sent some information that came from a bible of the POTTER family of Wantage, Sussex County, New Jersey. Does anyone have information on this family? POTTER Family Bible Records: From bible of Mrs. William Chauncey Martin dated Wantage, July 17---- JOEL POTTER born Dec.15, 1740, died July 29, 1784 MARY POTTER born April 7, 1747, died Sept. 29, 1782 married April 25, 1762 PHILA POTTER born April 29, 1763, died July 5, 1853 EPHRIAM POTTER born Jan. 2, 1765, (married ANNY COYKENDALL) CHRISTIAN POTTER born Dec. 23, 1766 JAMES POTTER born Nov. 27, 1768 SAMUEL POTTER born Sept. 4, 1771 RACHEL POTTER born Nov. 29, 1772 ABIJAH POTTER born 1775, died Oct. 24, 1775 JOSEPH POTTER born Mar., 1780, died Dec. 21, 1815 JOEL POTTER, JR. born Sept. 24, 1782 In my notes I have a RACHEL POTTER, born Wantage, Sussex Co., NJ, Nov. 29, 1772, married BENJAMIN MCAFEE, born Middlesex, NJ, March 9, 1764. They married Jan 1, 1793. He was a soldier in the Revolution. They removed to Springfield, Bradford Co., PA 1830-1833. BENJAMIN MCAFEE died there on July 17, 1844 and RACHEL died ion Feb. 21, 1858. They are interred in Leona Cemetery, Leona, Bradford Co., PA. BENJAMIN and RACHEL POTTER MCAFEE are my husband's 3rd great grandparents. Hi Sheryl & Sussex & Warren folks, My great grandfather was Peter Lanterman who married Lucy Jane Potter (1841-1911). Her parents were Elias Potter (1800- ) and Sarah Givens (1799-1858). My father remembers Lucy Jane fondly, although he was only 18 when she died. I have a tin-type picture of Lucy. I haven't been able to find Elias' parents, Help!
