I'm going through all my files looking for dead ends & a possible father for my John Courtright born c1775. I have Jan Hendricksen Cortright b. 1674 in Harlem, NY., & died 1747 Sandyston Twp., Sussex Co., NJ married 2x, 1st to Marytje Vreedenburg (d/o William Isaaczen Vredenburgh & Appolonia Barentse Cool) in Kingston 1700. They had 4 children: William c1701, Hendrick 1704, Appolonia 1706 & Arien Jansen 1709. Marytje died 1710, & Jan married Elizabeth \Van Kampen\ in 1711. They had : Johannes bap. May 25, 1712 in Kingston (sp. Jan Van Kampen & Tietjen Dekkers), & Maria in 1715. Johannes married Catarina Kortright Jul 21, 1745 in Port Jervis. I have no source for that other than Reformed Dutch Church records. This was obviously from my early days of research, back when I thought I'd never forget where I read anything!! If Johannes father died 1747 in Sussex Co., NJ did Johannes also move there? does anyone have any children for this couple? I have no parents for Catarina either.
