    2. Cindy, Would you kindly tell me where you found "Toomes Chambers, Surgeon" in the Kingston Church Records"? I can find a "Toomes (Thomas) Swartwout" as a wit. in 1662 for his Gson Antoni but no "Toomes Chambers, Surgeon" anywhere. There was a "Thomas Chambers" in Ulster Co. during this time period who was also seen as "Thomas the Clabbort" (for his use of wooden clapboards to finish the exterior of houses) and "Toomes" as a bp. witness. This Thomas was "Lord of the Manor of Fox Hall" in Ulster Co., NY but he never left Kingston. He also had no children.
