The New Jersey Calendar of Wills 1814-1817 lists a will for Peter Van Neste of Sandyston, Sussex Co. dated June 20, 1809 and proved June 11, 1816. He lists children George, Peter, Isaac, Mary and Judith. He also leaves a bequest to the children of his deceased son, John: Peter, John, Mary and Judith. Does anyone have more information on this family? There was a John Van Ness and a Peter Van Ness in Trumbell Co. Ohio - Peter md. to Susan MADISON/MATTESON is there in 1830 and John, married to Hannah HALL comes about 1831. Are these two brothers? Could they be the sons of Peter's deceased son John?
