Sussex Independent, April 20, 1900: "James Cole, Jr., died at the home of his son Martin at Hainesville, on Wednesday, aged about 79 years. Mr. Cole was a farmer by occupation till the infirmities of age caused him to relinquish it, since which time he has lived with his son, Martin. He is survived by three sons and two daughters: Isaac, of this town; Solomon, of Scranton; William of Port Jervis; Mrs. Sarah Depue, of Hainesville, and Mrs. T. Vail, of Coleville. The funeral services will be held to-day (Friday) at 10 a.m. Interment at Hainesville cemetery." "Mrs. Joshua Harden died at her home near Baver Run on Thursday morning April 12th, aged 67 years. Mrs. Harden was highly esteemed and had a large circle of friends who will miss her pleasant address and genial manner. She is survived by her husband, and one brother, Mr. J. S. Hiles, and one sister, Mrs. Congleton. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church of Hamburg on Sunday last. Interment at Papakating Cemetery."
