This is somewhat off the subject of twins and triplets/multiple baptisms and I just wanted to mention it as a sidebar. In the early days when travelling ministers might only complete his circuit once or twice a year, practacalities of the day sometimes dictated that engaged couples set up housekeeping before the marriage ceremony. When the minister arrived, there would be a 'group' wedding ceremony where several couples would officially tie the knot. Baptisms/Christenings would also be done. Joan Wilton
