Hi All Rick is correct. The old Beemerville Cemetery is across from Day care. It is on the corner of Rt 519 and Crigger Road. It is not marked and I only use the term old to differentiate it from the New Beemerville, which is just down Rt 519 about 1/2 mile on the other side of Space Farms. The Old Cemetery is mowed at least, but many of the Tombstones are broken and fallen over and the woodchucks are undermining the upright markers. It was neglected for many, many years. The cemetery is now being maintained by the Sheriff's Office SWAP Program. Unfortunately, there are no funds to repair tombstones, nor will there be until more people who are researching their anceastors, band together to have these old cemeteries declaried hitorical sites, before they are gone forever. The house next to this old cemetery, is the home of Mr. Space, and he told us a little bit of history concerning this cemetery. Evidently some time ago, a man was hired to fix the stone wall around the cemetery, which the man did. It was only afterward, it was discovered that the man had used tombstones to repair the wall. After, having been told of this event, we look more closely at the wall and sure enough there are tombstones there. So, if your missing an ancestor who should be here, now you know why you can't find them. The Cemetery on Rt. 637 (also known as Beemer Church Road) is the Beemerville Church Cemetery also know as the Beemerville Meeting house Cemetery. I live about 7 miles from all three cemeteries and have relatives in all of them. Harold
